What others are saying...

...I want to thank the director, Allen Schmeltz, who did a wonderful job. He is a very talented director and his knowledge, creativity, patience and skill was appreciated. It amazed me how little time it took for him to coordinate the scenes and to decide which student should be placed doing which scene, and to have all the students on task while performing in character and having fun. And it didn’t seem to matter that many of the kids had different levels of experience; he made sure everyone was equally exposed and had the same amount of time on stage.

Thanks to this experience at Garbeau’s my daughter now has a love of the theater. We regularly attend community performances and she is excited to have a better understanding of what is involved.

...As the director of the Nottingham Player's Children's Theatre in Los Angeles, a company which performed for over one million children in seven seasons, I am qualified to say that it is rare to find an Artistic Director more devoted to the entertainment and education of children than is Mr. Schmeltz. His devotion to achieving the goals of the theatre and his personal vision for the Acorn & Oak Theatre recommend him to participate in any capacity with an artistic organization.

Director

Allen Schmeltz touchingly portrays author Lewis Carroll, showing up at the beginning and end of the play. He is also the narrator. Schmeltz served as director as well.
